Who is it for?
This MA is a ‘top up’ programme (60 credits) for people who have achieved the CIPD Advanced Diploma, or equivalent, in either HRM or HRD (120 credits), are eligible for CIPD Chartered Member or Fellow status and are working at Band Three or Four of the CIPD Professional Map.
How will this programme benefit my organisation?
The programme will develop your skills as an HR professional allowing you to become a more valued member of the senior management team.
You will acquire a broader understanding of the context in which your organisation sits and develop your knowledge of contemporary trends and initiatives. Your management report produced in Module 2, can be used to formulate a clear HR strategy and viable solutions to a real business issue.
How is the programme delivered?
Delivery is through a combination of workshops, 1-to-1 coaching, action learning sets, guided reading, research and self-study. This uses a blend of competency, knowledge and behaviours.
You will also have full access to Greenwich University’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and online access to their extensive library which you can draw upon throughout your studies.
We enhance academic learning from applying taught concepts in the context of real workplace experiences, the use of live case studies, which capture latest thinking and evolving practices
Our work-based approach differs from traditional academic methods, yet retains the rigour necessary for masters’ level research. Students are encouraged to draw from a comprehensive range of primary and secondary sources and undertake in-depth critical analysis.
Our work-based approach has evidence-based HRM at its core. The course will help you, through primary and secondary research, to consistently rely on robust and credible evidence to develop your ideas, inform decisions and make a sound business case for change. Developing these skills will significantly enhance your ability to present persuasive arguments and increase your professional credibility at a strategic level in your organisation.
