Who is it for?
The Coaching Skills for L&D Professionals course is an ASTD Certificate Programme suited to trainers, L&D consultants, and anybody involved in the design and delivery of training, to either internal or external clients.
Trainers and L&D professionals need to draw on an increasingly complex armoury of skills. If your work requires you to coach individuals, groups, teams or indeed entire organisations, a solid model and infrastructure for planning the coaching intervention is essential.

Integrate and evaluate multiple sources of data and make interpretations that help clients achieve agreed-upon results
Design actions and opportunities for ongoing learning that will most effectively lead to coaching results
Set a coaching action plan with attainable, measurable and specific goals
Document, measure, and track the client’s progress toward and achievement of their coaching goals
Develop and maintain an effective coaching plan with clients, manage ongoing progress, and hold clients accountable for actions
Plan, implement, and manage an integrated coaching program based on negotiated roles, clear guidelines, a systems approach, and publicized results
Build an entire coaching infrastructure at the individual, team, or organisational level
This course is an elective module on our Level 4 Certificate in L&D Design & Evaluation, created by and delivered in partnership with the American Society for Training and Development and accredited by EDI. The Level 4 Certificate is ideal for aspiring and existing trainers, consultants and instructional designers with responsibility for creating small or large training interventions.
This course can also be taken as part of ourLevel 5 Certificate in Coaching and Consulting, created by and delivered in partnership with the American Society for Training and Development and accredited by EDI. The Level 5 Certificate is suitable for experienced internal and external trainers, L&D practitioners, managers and consultants. It’s for anyone who wants to demonstrate expert consultancy skills and design powerful coaching interventions.
On completion of the Certificate, you are then eligible to upgrade to the Level 5 Diploma in Workplace Learning, which is the first of its kind in the UK and has been designed exclusively for senior L&D professionals.
