Managers, supervisors and employee representatives based outside the UK. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a valuable foundation for further professional study.
What is it about?
This is the international version of the NEBOSH National General Certificate, suitable for health and safety professionals situated outside the United Kingdom. It does not deal with the UK aspects of Health and Safety law.
The NEBOSH International Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.
This course is also available via Distance Learning.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.
Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessment.
The practical assessment is arranged by Phoenix Health & Safety and carried out in a simulated workplace environment.
All of our courses are worth 6 hours of CPD per day.
