The NEBOSH Fire Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.
Unit FC1 is a taught unit assessed by a one two-hour written examination. The written examination consists of ten ‘short-answer’ questions and one ‘long-answer’ question. All questions are compulsory. Candidate scripts are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH.
Unit FC2 is an untaught module completed after the course, based on the content from FC1. It is assessed by one three-hour practical examination undertaken within the candidate’s own workplace, to be taken within 14 days of the date of the FC1 written papers. The practical examination is internally assessed by Phoenix Health & Safety via Reed Learning and externally moderated by NEBOSH.
To achieve the full NEBOSH Fire Certificate, candidates will also need to attend the NGC1 module. Contact us for further information, dates and prices.
