NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Health & Safety
A nationally-recognised qualification for health and safety specialists in the construction sector
Who is it for?
The NEBOSH Construction Certificate helps managers, supervisors, designers and CDM Co-ordinators from the construction industry manage risks effectively.
It may also prove effective for those who have to manage the activities of contractors. The qualification is specifically referred to as a key competence in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.
The qualification is also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities or broadcasting, where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities.
What is it about?
Many people take NEBOSH Certificate courses as a first step on a career in health and safety. They provide a valuable overview of health and safety, and a sound basis for further professional study. The construction certificate focuses on the health and safety challenges faced in that sector.
The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accepted by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) as meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.

The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.
